En Plein Air

OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES

Experience Malta in the open air with a series of guided en plein air painting sessions led by artist Joseph Casapinta. Set against a rotating backdrop of the islands’ most evocative sights, each event pairs hands-on instruction with on-location discovery, capturing shifting light, color, and atmosphere in real time.

What to expect

  • Diverse locations: From Valletta’s luminous limestone streets, harbors, and piazzas to rural terraces, wind-swept cliffs, and quiet chapels, both urban and countryside spots are carefully chosen for their character and light.

  • Guided creation: Joseph Casapinta offers step-by-step coaching, framing a composition, simplifying shapes, reading light and shadow, and layering color—so every participant completes a finished artwork on site.

  • For all levels: Beginners receive clear foundations; experienced painters get targeted feedback to push their style further. Guidance adapts to watercolor, gouache, acrylic, or oils.

  • Practical pace: Sessions begin with a short demo and location briefing, followed by individual work time and one-to-one critiques, and close with a brief group review.

  • Materials and setup: A suggested materials list is provided in advance. Portable easels, sketchbooks, and compact palettes are recommended. Limited on-site support materials may be available at select sessions.

  • Small groups: Intimate group sizes ensure personal attention and an unhurried, reflective painting experience.

THINK CREATIVE

Think outside the box.  Step away from your office or workplace and give yourslef the space and freedom to think creatively.  A change of environment and a fresh perspective can open your mind to new ideas, solutions and possibilities you may never considered before.

Many people become so fucsed on numbers and text that they overlook the power of visual elements.  While numbers and data are important, visuals have the unique ability to communicate complex ideas quickly, clearly and effectively.  In today's world, where attention spans are short and information is everywhere, visula communication has become more important than ever.

Visuals help us conenct the dots, see the bigger picture and understand ideas from different angles.  They make information more engaging, memorable and impactful.  Whether it's a simple chart, an illustration, an infographic or a well-designed layout, the right visual can turn a complicated message into something meaningful and easy to understand.

Thinking Creatively allows us to break away from routine patterns and challenge the way we normally approach problems.  It encourages curiosity, experimentation and open-mindness.  When we think creatively, we are more likely to discover innovative solutions, spot new opportunities and bring fresh value to work and life.

Creativity is not linked to artists or designers.  It is something every industry can develop and apply.  By enbracing creative thinking and using graphics effectively, we can communicate our ideas more powerfully, inspire others and make a real difference in our businesses, projects and every day goals.  Make creativity a habit and watch how it transforms the way you work, think and achive.
